Seagate Corporate Center bought by Rockefeller By Sam Hodgson, The Daily Transcript 10/10/06 As published in The San Diego Daily Transcript, October 10, 2006 New York-based Rockefeller Group Development Corp. an owner developer and manager of commercial real estate properties, announced Tuesday that is has acquired the 26.5 acre Seagate Corporate Center in Oceanside. The purchase price was not disclosed. The site will be comprised of 12 industrial buildings and four office buildings of Rancho Del Oro Drive. In sum, it will provide more than 376,000 square feet of rental space. Coldwell Banker Commercial represented the buyer and the seller. The center will be built in two phases. The first phase, which is currently underway, will see through 205,000 square feet of rental space on 13.5 acres. Phase two will include 13 more acres and 171,000 square feet of rental space. "The acquisition of Segate Corporate Center is a unique opportunity for Rockefeller Group Development Corporation," said Tom McCormick, SIOR, Senior Vice President Development for Rockefeller Group Development Corporation. "We originally were interested in acquiring the second, undeveloped phase of the project but when the opportunity arose to acquire both phases 1 and 2, we acted immediately." |
