Ronald L. King specializes in industrial and research and development sales and leasing in North San Diego County. Ron has 19 years of experience in this marketplace beginning his career with Coldwell Banker Commercial where he was “Rookie of the Year” and continuing with Colliers International where he established himself as one of their top salesmen nationally. Ron rejoined Coldwell Banker Commercial in 1999, to become a partner in the firm. Ron currently represents property owners in Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista who control in excess of 1.5 million square feet of vacant buildings.

Graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, with a B.S. in Economics, Ron joined the Marine Corps and became an Artillery Officer. In 1983, Ron was the recipient of the Leftwich Trophy, which is sponsored by H. Ross Perot and is awarded annually to one Captain in the Marine Corps who exhibits outstanding leadership qualities and is based on their cumulative military record.

Over the past 19 years, Ron has achieved the distinction as one of the senior brokers in North San Diego County and has represented most of the major institutional investors and developers including Mitsui Fudosan, Aetna Investment Group, CitiCorp Real Estate, Bedford Property Investors, Metropolitan Life, Wells Fargo, McMorgan & Company, Legacy Partners, Koll Development Company, Techbilt Construction, The Muller Company and The Clifford Companies. Major land projects which Ron has marketed include the 600 acre Carlsbad Oaks Business Park, the 400 acre Ocean Ranch Corporate Centre, the 333 acre Carlsbad Airport Centre, the 200 acre Poway Tech Centre West, the 50 acre Vista Commerce Center, as well as the 50 acre 4S Ranch Business Park. Ron currently represents Stirling Development in the marketing of Ocean Ranch in Oceanside, CA.

While representing the above clients, Ron has been involved in a variety of building sales, leases, build-to-suits, investment sales and land sales. Since 1995, Ron has sold over 924,222 square feet of research & development / industrial buildings as investment sales totaling $45 million, sold or leased over 8,000,000 square feet of buildings, in addition to selling over 175 acres of land.

A native of Carrollton, Illinois, Ron grew up in Chicago and moved to San Diego in 1978. Ron currently resides in Rancho Santa Fe with his wife Karen and their two children.
