A twenty-four year veteran in commercial real estate, Ron specializes in industrial and research and development sales and leasing as well as land sales in North San Diego County. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker in 1999, as a Partner, Mr. King was with Colliers International for 12 years, where he was consistently a top producer. In addition, Mr. King is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and was the President of the San Diego Chapter in 2003. Mr. King has consistently been awarded the prestigious Coldwell Banker Commercial “Circle of Distinction Award,” additionally, his recent prominent awards include the following:

· 2008 SIOR National Award for Largest Office Dollar Transaction Nationwide
· 2007 Coldwell Banker Halter Case National Leadership Award
· 2006 SIOR National Award for Largest Land Dollar Transaction Nationwide
· 2006 Commercial Realtors Association, Deal Maker of the Year Award for Land from the San Diego Commercial Realtors Association

Mr. King is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Upon graduation, Ron joined the Marine Corps and became an Artillery Officer. In 1983, Ron was the recipient of the Leftwich Trophy which is sponsored by H. Ross Perot and is awarded annually to one Captain in the Marine Corps who exhibits outstanding leadership qualities and is based on their cumulative military record.

Continuing professional education is important to best represent Ron’s clients and he continues to take real estate classes and work with professional coaches to further his professional real estate development. Mr. King is also an active member of several professional organizations including the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).

Ron has been involved in a variety of building sales, leases, build-to-suits, investment sales and land sales. Since 1995, Ron has sold over 1,924,222 square feet of research & development / industrial buildings as investment sales totaling $145 million, sold or leased over 8,000,000 square feet of buildings, in addition to selling over 375 acres of land.

A native of Carrollton, Illinois, Ron grew up in Chicago and moved to San Diego in 1978. Ron currently resides in Encinitas with his wife Karen, and their two children that are currently attending college.
